Teddy Ireland Story

Teddy was brought back from Ireland in 1932 as a gift from my mother.  Long ago Teddy’s joints were tacked with thread.  He also is suffering from male baldness.   Unfortunately my sweet puppy chewed Teddy.

The Bear Doctor took the Teddy apart to be washed by hand.  Replaced the paw pads, patched holes, and fixed the head using similar mohair.  The original eyes were plastic safety eyes and were replaced with glass eyes.  Originally the  bear’s body was put on the wrong way.  The head was put on the bear’s bottom, this was redone.  This repair took 10hrs.
